We are located in South Lyon, Michigan which is in Southeastern Michigan.  At one time this area had more horses per capita than anywhere in the U.S.  I was interested in minis since I first read about them as a child but didn’t get them until 2001.  We are a small breeder, who handle our horses daily and probably won’t have anymore than 5 mares and 2 stallions at a time. We focus on AMHA/AMHR, DNA’d stock and want to specialize in correct, pleasant horses the whole family can enjoy with some nice color as a bonus.  Our homozygous tobiano and red factor pinto broodmare is a daughter of Stonehenge Painted Feather and we have her daughter who is homozygous in the same way as well but in 2008  we were blessed with a homozygous black factor blue roan tobiano pinto filly and would like to add some more black factor horses.  Also in 2008  we are pleased to start using our new stallion we bought in April 2007 from LOTSAFUN MINIATURE HORSES in Wisconsin.  He is a 2 yr old 32 inch black/white tobiano pinto sired by Sugar Creek Tru Luvs Flamboyant (national show record) and out of Lot Sa Fun Wonders Jump 4 Joy (national show record) and can be seen on LOT SA FUN’S website in Wisconsin on Breeders Connect.  He will also be available for outside breeding.  We will have 1 to 5 young animals to sell each year and most of our colts are gelded to make great family horses or show horses.   We now have a website and feel free to look at it:  http://www.boyerswindyacres.com/  and please feel free to contact us at: dswindyacres@aol.com
