Flat Lotto's Adventures!

Flat Lotto's adventure with Frank and Jayne in Arlington, Washington!

Flat Lotto came to visit us in the town on Arlington, just 40 miles north of Seattle. In spite of some lingering rain and busy hosts (teachers finishing out the school year) we had a great time and he got to meet some new friends as well. Here's his journal from this part of his adventure around the world! Lotto types slowly due to not having any fingers, so he dictatated this to me:

Hi! I am having a good time traveling around and meeting so many new friends! Here is me meeting my new friend Bailey the Clydesdale. Bailey is very nice, but now that I'm gone I have to say he's not that bright. He tried to eat ME!! Luckily, my hosts (Frank and Jayne) snatched me away before I got any slobber on me! I do like Bailey's color because he's black and white like me!! We were comparing our white faces.

In that same pasture I met Lily. Lily is a little cranky because she's hugely pregnant, but I can tell she's very sweet anyway. At least she didn't try to take a bite out of me! I didn't spend very much time out there because I would have needed to be supervised the whole time.

Since I'm partial to black and white, I got to meet some pretty Silver Laced Wyandottes chickens. They are still young and don't lay eggs yet. They are nice too because they didn't even try to peck at me once!

Frank and Jayne took me shopping in downtown Seattle where we saw and tasted all kinds of weird stuff... like pepper jelly, dried cherries, wasabi almonds (HOT!!) and chocolate raspberry sauce (YUM!). We also stopped at a fish market. It was very colorful and interesting and didn't stink like fish at all! I did get scared, however, by that tank full of big spiders (crabs) who wanted to grab me!

Lastly, I have to tell you about my new best friend, Little Bit. (Frank and Jayne tell me that his real name is actually something that rhymes with Little Bit and he got it when he was a really BAD boy earlier in his life, but they don't use THAT name any more.) Anyway, Little Bit and I spent quite a bit of time out in the field grazing and just spending time together... Little Bit told me about how much he likes to drive Jayne around in his cart and how he misses all the times they used to spend driving at the beach where they used to live. I told him how I miss my momma, but know I will go home someday after seeing all these neat place and meeting so many new friends. So Little Bit and I now are good friends and we had a close moment together before I had to leave.

So I just wanted to let you all know I had a great time and am looking forward to meeting Nikki soon! Say HI to my momma Robin if you see her. Tell her I'm being a good boy. Bye for now!
